PATTAYA, Thailand – Thailand’s Meteorological Department has reported rising temperatures across northern Thailand, with severe heat expected in some areas. Scattered thunderstorms and strong winds are also forecast in certain regions. Authorities urge residents to take precautions against extreme heat.

The 24-hour weather forecast indicates that northern Thailand will experience higher temperatures, with hot and hazy conditions and some areas reaching extreme heat levels. Thunderstorms and strong gusty winds may occur due to a low-pressure system caused by heat, along with southwesterly and southeasterly winds prevailing over the region. Officials recommend that people avoid prolonged outdoor activities and stay hydrated.

In the south, weaker easterly and southeasterly winds over the Gulf of Thailand, the southern region, and the Andaman Sea will lead to less rainfall. Waves in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea are expected to be around 1 meter high, rising above 1 meter in stormy areas. Fishermen are advised to exercise caution and avoid sailing in stormy waters.

Regarding air pollution, the accumulation of dust and haze remains high in northern Thailand due to weaker winds.

In Bangkok and surrounding areas, temperatures will range from 25-26°C at the lowest to 34-39°C at the highest, with generally hot and hazy weather.

In Pattaya, temperatures are expected to range from 27-30°C in the early morning to 35-37°C during the afternoon, with hazy skies and high humidity contributing to the heat. While the coastal city may experience occasional sea breezes, residents and tourists are advised to stay hydrated and limit outdoor exposure during peak heat hours.
