RAYONG, Thailand –A shocking incident has sparked outrage after a viral video showed a man slapping a nurse in a Rayong hospital. The attack occurred when the nurse enforced ICU regulations by preventing the man’s child from visiting a critically ill relative.
On February 18, Thanakrit Jittareerat, Assistant Minister of Public Health, shared the disturbing 30-second footage on Facebook. The video captures the man, wearing an orange shirt, engaging in a heated conversation with the nurse before slapping her twice across the face and fleeing the scene. CCTV footage from the hospital clearly recorded the assault.
The clip has amassed nearly nine million views, with social media users condemning the attack and calling for legal action against the perpetrator. Many netizens are demanding that the hospital take the strongest measures to hold him accountable.
