Small fire damages Pattaya kindergarten classroom

Fire broke out in a classroom at Pattaya School No. 8 destroying a refrigerator, an air conditioner, two fans and a shelf.

Classroom fixtures were damaged when a small fire broke out at Pattaya School No. 8.
No students were injured in the Aug. 16 fire in a second-floor kindergarten classroom, as the 20 pupils were outside at lunch at the time. A couple kids who retuned early saw sparks behind a refrigerator and informed their teacher.



The fire damaged the refrigerator, an air conditioner, two fans and a shelf. The incident was over in less than 15 minutes.
Pattaya Deputy Mayor Thitiphan Petchtrakul inspected the scene and ordered the classroom sealed off pending an investigation and inspection of the wiring.

No children were hurt when a fire broke out in their classroom, damaging electrical equipment and dirtying their belongings with ash and firefighting chemicals.
