While helping her boyfriend to put the poisonous cobra in the sack, the angry snake bit Apirat’s finger.

A Sriracha animal-control officer who brought his girlfriend to work had to rush her to the hospital after she was bitten by a cobra.
Pattipan Boonyee, a volunteer with the Piew Yieng Thai Sriracha Foundation, had been called to a snake sighting at a house in Hin Lard, Khao Kan Tong Aug. 16 and brought his girlfriend along.

The 41-year-old snake rustler lassoed the head of the monocled cobra, but it fought back. While helping Pattipan put the two-meter reptile in a sack, Apirat Buakaew, 29, was bitten on the finger.
She was treated for the snakebite at Laem Chabang Hospital. Pattipan said the accident was a lesson for all volunteers to be careful while catching venomous snakes.

The spitting cobra is a very poisonous species and showed signs of frustration and anger when it was spotted in a house in Sriracha.
