Contractors are putting the final touches to newly resurfaced Soi Khao Talo, with work on the East Pattaya street expected to conclude by month’s end.
The road was repaved from the railway-parallel road to the Boonsampan intersection by Phiboonrath Associate Ltd., which began work Aug. 25 and completed the 8 million baht job on Feb. 22.
Contractors are working on manhole covers, making them level with the surface of the road.
The road is now 8-10 meters wide and 1,500 meters were re-surfaced with asphalt and lane lines painted.
While Soi Khao Talo is now easier and more convenient to use, it’s not level, as manhole covers were sunken, causing bumps and accidents. Contractors are now leveling the roadway and putting in new drain covers.
Work should be completed by the end of March.
