The Asian Inter Clinic provided free blood-pressure checks and information about dengue fever during a visit to the Soi Khopai Community.
Neighborhood President Wirat Joyjinda opened the free May 18 clinic where Asia Inter doctors advised locals how to prevent dengue by eliminating standing water where disease-carrying mosquitos breed.
Houses should be kept clean with no airless spaces, water basins such as flower vases should be changed weekly, garbage should be disposed of properly and any water sources covered, they said.
Mosquitos carry not only dengue, but the zika and Chikungunya fever viruses as well.
