The reconstruction of Soi Siam Country Club has entered is second phase, but disruption and inconvenience will last until April.
East Pattaya residents on Oct. 20 complained to the media that the project that began in January seems to have stalled and they are upset with the detours, mud and puddles created by the reconstruction of the kilometer-long road.
The 67-million-baht job began on Jan. 25 and is scheduled for completion on April 4. When done, the street will be 10.5 meters wide and a quarter-meter thick.
Nongprue Deputy Mayor Niyom Thiangtham said the sub-district is working closely with contractors and pushing them to finish the work on time.
He apologized for any inconvenience, but said the work is necessary to expand the busy thoroughfare and lay much-needed drainage pipes to mitigate flooding.
