While small, the side street linking Third Road and Soi 17 in South Pattaya is an important thoroughfare for those shopping at the Sophon Market. It’s also been a bumpy one.
Pattaya is hoping to solve that, by resurfacing “Soi Sophon Market” over the next three months, finally eliminating the potholes and uneven surface.
The million-baht project began June 18 and runs through Sept. 15 with work being performed by K-Sky Engineering Co.
The 154-meter-long road is up to 8 meters wide and not only links the two streets, but leads into the market on the right side.
