A Korean tourist was pickpocketed by two Beach Road transgenders who then went on a spending spree with his credit cards.
Hojun Cho, 44, reported to police that, on his inebriated way back to his hotel room after visiting Walking Street, he was accosted by two transgenders who took his wallet containing three credit cards. The thieves escaped on a motorcycle.
Police used CCTV footage to trace the motorcycle as well as store footage where the purchases were made.
Sawarin Sirake, 33, and Onkaew Homdok, 35, were apprehended April 9 at a rental room in South Pattaya. They had in their possession two credit cards and sales slips for the purchase of goods and clothes totaling 3,701 and 1,153 baht.
They have been charged with several offences including credit card theft.
