Pattaya rescue workers got a diversion from bloody car wrecks and high-rise jumpers when they helped free a kitten stuck in a car’s engine compartment.
Sawang Boriboon Foundation officers were called to the Fasino drug store in North Pattaya Sept. 19 where urgent mewing could be heard coming from under the hood of a white Honda Jazz owned by Phunnachat Deeprom, 33.
Officers jacked up the car and pulled the month-only kitty from its trap.
Phunnachat said the cat did not belong to her and she only heard it when she was coming out of the store.
Rescuer Boonchin Aontaworn could not locate the owner, so he took the kitten home himself.
