Pattaya international school students were given a lesson in basic firefighting as part of a field trip about a historic fire.

Twenty-two pupils and teachers at Mooltripakdee International School, led by Matthew Bolton, visited the Pattaya Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center in Naklua for their lesson.

Firefighters from Pattaya welcomed the group and demonstrated how to spray water and how to extinguish a fire caused by a gas leak.

Little ones are shown how firemen uses hoses to extinguish fires.

A teacher said the field trip was an extension of a school lesson on the 1666 Great Fire of London. They learned about conflagration and gained knowledge to perform basic firefighting by themselves.
