A Khon Kaen man was arrested on obscenity charges after a video of him masturbating in front of a Pattaya clinic went viral on the Internet.
Jetphinit Nonsriratch, 22, was apprehended Jan. 9 on Soi 6/1. Police seized two pairs of women’s underwear from him, and the Yamaha Fino motorbike he was seen driving in the video posted to Facebook.
Employed by a 7-Eleven shop in Laem Chabang, Jetphinit – who said he changed his name from Itthiphol after being arrested on charges in September – was charged again with public indecency for allegedly masturbating outside Aphichart Clinic located next to the Government Saving Bank in central Pattaya.
Police try to keep a straight face as Jetphinit Nonsriratch shows the press the pairs of women’s knickers he carried with him.
Clinic employee Tithipatcha Pungklang, 32, said she and coworkers were having lunch outside the salon Jan. 6 when Jetphinit pulled up nearby and pulled up an apron, exposing himself. She said it was not the first time she’d seen him do this.
The women recorded a video of Jetphinit relieving himself. The video later was posted to Facebook where it created an uproar. It also led to Jetphinit’s arrest, as someone who saw the video recognized him on Soi 6/1.
Police also recognized him. He’d been taken into custody Sept. 23 as a suspect in a rape case.
Police said Jetphinit admitted to his public display, saying he’d been watching pornography earlier and had worked himself into a lather. He said he drove around looking to meet a woman in a bar, but had no luck, so settled on fantasizing about the beauticians at the clinic.
Police said the suspect admitted to having sought psychiatric treatment earlier. The indecency charge carries only a 500 baht fine.
