A Swedish man was injured after crashing his motorbike, allegedly while driving drunk.
Bjoern Olav Leonard Johan, 74, was found trapped underneath a Jeep Cherokee on Sukhumvit Road near the PTT gas station in North Pattaya Jan. 20. He broke his wrist and suffered various cuts and bruises. The victim was transported to Bangkok Hospital Pattaya for treatment.
The driver of the Jeep, 66-year-old Ian Taylor of the United States, said he was heading to North Pattaya when he encountered the bike driver who shifted lanes immediately, not giving him time to brake or avoid a crash.
Police would not rule on who was responsible for the crash until after they talked to the Swede once he sobered up.
