A Swiss expat died after collapsing into his swimming pool and drowning.
Police were uncertain why Heinz Peter Ballmann, 58, fell into his Nidacha Village pool April 9. His girlfriend said she was inside while he went out to clean the pool, as he did every day.
The next thing she knew, her neighbors were calling to say he had fallen in and was drowning.
Ballmann’s girlfriend called for medical assistance, but the Swiss national died before they arrived.
Police speculated Ballmann fainted in the heat and wasn’t able to rescue himself, or suffered from heat stroke.
