An elderly Swiss man has been arrested for allegedly molesting young boys in two 2012 incidents.
Child and Women Protection Center police apprehended Gaston Roger Maurer, 62, as he returned a motorbike to a Third Road rental company. He was charged with sexual assault against children under 13 years old. The arrest warrant was hastily arranged June 25 when police discovered the suspect was preparing to return to Switzerland.
Authorities alleged that in November and December, Maurer procured the sexual services of young boys from transvestite pimp Rahcan “Arunee” Panpong for 400 baht each. Police alleged Maurer was joined in the December incident in a shopping mall restroom by four other foreigners.
