Hoping to offset the steep decline in foreign tourists, the Tourism Authority of Thailand rolled out a new promotion to award discounts on hotels, attractions and spas for Thais.
TAT Pattaya Director Suladda Sarutilavan unveiled the “365 Days for Thais” campaign Feb. 23 at city hall. She said it was part of the broader “Thai Ways of Life 2015” tourism strategy to provide help to tourism companies affected by the decline of foreign visitors by encouraging Thai people in the Bangkok metropolitan region and neighboring provinces to take holidays in Pattaya this year.

Thai nationals will be offered 20-50 percent discounts on hotels with prices between 999 and 2,499 baht a night. More than 40 hotels are participating in the campaign.
More discounts are available for tourist attractions, restaurants, shops, golf courses, and spas.
TAT will publish the travel guides introducing tourist attractions and more 100 restaurants in Pattaya with add-on discount coupons. It will be published through numerous channels in Bangkok and the provinces.
