Thai Food spices up Central Festival Pattaya Beach

The Tourism Authority of Thailand celebrated the unique flavors of Thai cuisine in the sixth-annual Thai Food Festival at Central Festival Pattaya Beach.

Wiliawan Thwitchsree, TAT’s deputy chief of product promotion, and Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh opened the July 4-6 fair at the Beach Road mall. Wiliawan said the show is held each year to showcase Thai pride in its native foods and promote tourism.

More than 40 restaurants created colorful and flavorful dishes based on this year’s theme of “Herbs and Spices… Thai Taste.”

Dishes included palace-recipe fried pork from Mue-thod Sood Chao Wang restaurant, padthai with shrimp wrapped in egg from Sawei Phadthai Restuarant, old-style crunchy noodles from Meekrob Khunya Thongphoon restaurant, herbal spicy salad from Khun Toeng restaurant, local spicy food and herbs curry from Mae Eed restaurant, and multi-color herbal drinks from Dreamwater.
