A Third Road nightclub was shut down for five years after a police raid found underage customers and drug users.

Banglamung District Chief Chakorn Kanjawattana ordered the Sept. 29 raid by 30 police and military personnel on the 18+ Club, which was found open after legal hours.

Nine teenagers were found in the crowded hostess club along with 10 others without identification cards. Sixteen people failed drug tests and illegal e-cigarettes also were found.

Among the customers were three fugitives: Peerapat Sirimongkol, 25, who was wanted on defamation charges; Supalert Morawan, 23, sought for drug offenses and caught by police with 13 ecstasy tablets; and Susrusa Thiasakul, 25, who had 14 ecstasy tablets on her and also was sought on an arrest warrant.

Managers Teimsak Taksin, 32, and Wiritpan Tanatsiride­chayot, 34, were arrested and slapped with six charges, including operating a club without proper licenses, serving alcohol after hours, serving minors and drug offenses.

The venue was closed for five years under Section 44 of the interim constitution.
