Three tourists lost more than 35,000 baht to pickpockets in separate incidents in Pattaya.

A Japanese restaurant owner lost 28,000 baht when he was pickpocketed by a Beach Road transvestite prostitute.

Asikawa Tekami, 45, filed a police report Sept. 6, saying he was approached by two ladyboys who parked their motorbike near him. They tried to persuade him to purchase their services, but he passed.

He later arrived at a restaurant to find his wallet missing.

Jiraporn Chunueang, 47, and her French boyfriend also complained they too had been robbed on a Pattaya baht bus.

They said a group of four women and ladyboys squeeze tightly into the pickup truck and, when they got off at Central Festival Pattaya Beach, the boyfriend realized he had been pickpocketed, losing 8,000 baht.
