A toddler too clever for his own good had to be rescued after locking himself in a car in Pattaya.

Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation volunteers came to the aid of 2-year-old “Nong Mark” and his relatives at their house Wat Thamsamakee Soi 8 Jan. 9.

The boy was crying as he peered out at his mother and grandmother from the inside of a Honda Jazz. Relatives said they had put the boy in the car alone for a moment and he locked the doors.

Rescuers wedged a space between the door and frame with a homemade tool and used a wire to pull up the lock. The operation took about five minutes.

Nong Mark was shaken, but uninjured.
