Tourist Police out in force April 17-19

Tourist Police Division officers will be out in force April 17-19 to keep tourists safe and their belongings dry during the finale to the Songkran festival.

Pol. Lt. Col. Piyapong Aensan, commander of the Pattaya-based Tourist Police office on Pratamnak Hill, said officers would set up outposts in Bangsaen, Naklua and Pattaya, respectively, on April 17-19.

The Bangsaen Beach desk will be placed outside the police substation there. In Naklua on April 18 the police box will be opened at Lan Po Public Park and, on April 19, in front of Central Festival Pattaya Beach.

Officers will be there to observe the goings-on and prevent crime, answer questions, provide drinking water and free waterproof bags.
