Tourist police arrested two Thais and two foreigners illegally providing parasailing tours in Pattaya.

Wanalee Kanung, 49, the owner of Wanalee Island Co., was charged with illegally employing foreigners, using unregistered tour guides and running tour services without a license.

Her arrest came after tourist police officers caught Indian national Hitendra Anandbhai Khasatiy, 28, and Retha Yee Tar, 21, of Myanmar, working with Narin Nunurat, 59, on a parasailing boat Dec. 12.

Narin, who was merely escorting the foreign workers, said he was unable to speak Indian and so he had Khasatiy run the day’s tour. Retha Yee Tar was the ticket broker and secretary.

Not only did Wanalee not use registered guides, but the company did not provide the required insurance for tourists or their staff, the tourist police said.
