Wuthi said police want to educate Thais and tourists alike about traffic regulations and is getting the help of Toyota, which is funding the installation of signs around the Pattaya area.

The signs – in Thai, English, Chinese and Russian – will cover rules requiring helmet use, prohibiting drunk driving and other road offenses, as well as the penalties for breaking the law.

Police believe that that by knowing the possible penalties and fines, people will improve their driving.
