PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya police are investigating an incident that occurred on Oct 13, at the southern end of Pattaya Beach, involving a transgender woman fighting with a tourist.
The confrontation, captured in a viral video, shows Mr. Yiam a.k.a. Lizzie pursuing and physically assaulting a Russian tourist named Muulan. While hitting Muulan, Yiam could be heard shouting derogatory remarks like “Ladyboy?” and urgent cries of “Police are coming.”
Police were able to identify Yiam as the person in the video, and brought him in for questioning on October 16. Yiam admitted to being involved in the fight with Muulan, citing disrespectful comments and beer splashing as provocation. He went on to say that after the incident, he apologised to Muulan and the group of Russians and his transgender friends continued drinking together.
Despite the incident being thoroughly documented as evidence, legal proceedings cannot go further due to the absence of a formal complaint from Muulan.
