A teasing woman-of-the-second-category and two young students were injured when male gunmen fired five shots at a Soi Chaipornwithi 8 computer game center after being mocked for riding a woman’s motorbike.

Transvestite Wirayuth Sakphet, 17, was shot in the chin and shoulder in the Dec. 29 incident outside the Add Games shop in Banglamung. Sompop Singhto, 12, and Yongyuth Kruththip, 14, were each shot once in the leg and treated at Banglamung Hospital.

Witness Sanan Chimwiset, 15, said he and his friends were playing games when two young men wearing full helmets drove by on a female-styled motorbike. Wirayuth shouted “so cute!” to the duo as they drove by. Apparently angry at the cross-dresser’s comments, the two turned around and the pillion passenger pulled out a handgun and fired five shots into the crowd and sped away.

Police searched the area for the gunmen, but came up empty.
