The monsoon is here to stay in Pattaya and the eastern provinces for a few more days, said the Thai Meteorological Department. This afternoon an hour of very heavy rain that came with numerous thunder strikes and strong winds had caused many sections of Pattaya Sukhumvit road flooded and vehicles difficulties to pass by. The similar incident had happened on Monday, just two days earlier in the week.

Streets and Sois in the east part of Pattaya City were again affected by tropical rain on Wednesday (Nov 16). Cars and motorcycles were stopped at the intersection of the railroad behind Wat Thamsamakhee temple in the south area as the floodwater was too high for them to go through. The water subsided after about 2 hours.

Residents were again furious over ways of solving flood problems by the city hall and asked if the ongoing solutions of digging and laying pipes around town would help lessen the damages to their households and vehicles at all.

Officials had to wave vehicles away from the railroad behind Wat Thamsamakhee temple in the south area as the floodwater was too high for them to go through.
