Donald Trump may have snubbed Thailand on his first Asian trip, but the U.S. president is now appearing in Pattaya at Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks.
Waranyu Tipayamontri, general manager for Ripley’s World Pattaya, unveiled the tourist attraction’s 70th wax figure April 4.
The life-size figure of the 45th American president stands 190 centimeters tall and is made from special materials that are strong and most closely resemble the real thing. The figure is wearing a replica of Trump’s black suit and signature red tie.
Ironically, the figure was produced in China, with whom Trump has launched a trade war.
The statue was commissioned to commemorate the 200 years of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the United States. It shows him during his 2016 election-victory speech at the Midtown Hilton Hotel in New York.
The Trump statue is part of the entire Louis Tussaud’s collection open daily. Tickets are 500 baht each.
