Navy bands from Thailand and the United States took time out from the CARAT military exercise for a joint public concert in Pattaya.

Sponsored by the U.S. Navy League of the Eastern Seaboard and the Royal Thai Navy’s 2nd Frigate Squadron, the June 9 concert at Central Center in North Pattaya was aimed at improving public relations. Among those in the audience were residents of the Banglamung Home for the Elderly and the Camillian Social Center in Rayong.

The event followed earlier visits to Bhodhisamphan Pittayakarn Sampan School, Aksorn Technology School and Royal Garden Plaza, where the public had a chance to meet and take photographs with U.S. sailors there to sing pop songs.
