A heartbroken Cambodian fisherman died after falling into the sea and drowning following an all-night drinking session.
Identified only as “Sim,” 35, the sailor fell off the Wanneepchock 10 at Bang Saray’s Petai Pier Feb. 10. Rescue officers arrived as his unconscious body was pulled to the surface. He was later pronounced dead at Queen Sirikit Naval Medical Center.
Coworkers said Sim recently had his heart broken by a karaoke girl and, in his sorrow, began drinking cheap rice whiskey the night before. He apparently passed out and fell into the sea, where he drowned.
