Pattaya Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn met with sellers explaining that the contractor hired to renovate the park can’t begin work with them on the sidewalk.

Seafood vendors outside Lan Po Public Park will move to a nearby parking lot to allow renovation of the park to begin.

Pattaya Deputy Mayor Wuthisak Rermkijakarn met with the 10 sellers Nov. 1, explaining that the contractor hired to renovate the park can’t begin work with them on the sidewalk.

The Naklua Public Park will be refurbished with pavilions, a playground, multipurpose zone, bicycle and tracks, extreme sport zone, and tai-chi exercise area added.

Pattaya had tried to move the seafood sellers to a space next to Banglamung District chief’s home, but they refused and instead worked out a deal to shift to the park’s parking lot.
The renovation is expected to start before the end of November.
