It truly did take a village to wrangle a giant snake that wormed its way into Pratamnak Hill neighborhood.

The five-meter-long python had been living in a field near a police box in Moo 1 village, but came out after an excavator upturned its home.
The reptile didn’t take kindly to having its living quarters overturned and tried to bite residents and animal-control officers who tried to capture it.
Finally, the excavator driver used the heavy machinery to hold down the reptile so it could be netted.
The snake soon found a new hone at the Khao Kheow Open Zoo.
