Banglamung Public Health Section in cooperation with Banglamung Hospital held a training session for community emergency volunteers to learn how to save lives through quick response and using proper methods in case of emergencies, outside or in the homes.

Under the auspices of the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, participants learned about giving first aid in case of accidents, heart attacks, cerebrovascular disease and diabetes whereby the patient must get medical attention immediately before being moved to the hospital.

To this end the institute enlists volunteers all over the country and trains them to be first responders. Qualified volunteers are urged to call 1699 for advice and guidance when confronted with any emergencies.
