The owner of a Walking Street go-go bar is waiting to hear if, and how long, his business will be closed down after police raided it during one of its signature erotic shows.
More than 20 local and provincial police stormed Living Dolls Showcase Sept. 9, ordering the lights turned on and the partially clad female dancers to put clothes on.
Three undressed women were on stage at the time – Somjai Krasung, 18, Jirathaporn Suwan, 18, and Supinya Komrath, 33 – and were arrested, along with manager Yuparat Chomphurath, 42.
Police said they received a tip that the bar – which advertises its choreographed shows via social media and through a website – offered illegal erotic performances.
The dancers were charged with lewd dancing and the manager for arranging the performance.
The case details were forwarded to Banglamung District and Chonburi Province, which can shutter the bar for anywhere from 30 days to five years.
