More than 100 Pattaya residents and city leaders scrubbed down Walking Street to honor HM Queen Sirikit for her birthday.

Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome led the Aug. 15 “Clean for a Better Look” campaign attended by city council members, representatives from the city’s 42 communities and business owners on Walking Street.

Cleaners kicked off with brooms and brushes in hand, scrubbing and brushing the streets while using water trucks to wash away rubbish and mud up and down Walking Street.

The main objectives were to keep the area clean, keep it disease-free, and enhance tourism while honoring HM the Queen for Mother’s Day.

Local authorities also notified business vendors to cooperate and dispose of their litter and rubbish in designated areas.
