After the big party came the big cleanup.
Naris Petcharat, president of the Walking Street Entrepreneurs Association, led the post-Songkran scrub of the nightlife strip April 24, about two weeks after the same group swept up the street to prepare for the Thai New Year.
Pattaya sanitation workers joined shop owners, restaurateurs and bar operators to hose down the street, scrub off powder and pick up all the trash scattered over the previous two weeks.
Naris said the effort not only spruced up a key Pattaya tourist attraction, but created closer bonds between business owners.
