A wall at Chumchon Ban Nongprue School collapsed when drains failed to clear runoff from heavy rain.
The foundation of the wall, located outside teacher accommodations at the back of the campus, was undermined by a pool of water that stretched for about 50 meters.
Teacher Sekson Salisri said the campus sustained about an hour of heavy rain May 15. The back wall is located at the lowest part of the property and drains were unable to clear the runoff.
Chonburi provincial council member Winai Inpitak worked with local officials to clean up the ruins of the wall and pledged to find a way to prevent a repeat problem.
