It was fun and games for a good cause when Boonsamphan Temple opened the gates to its annual temple fair May 20.
The seven-day event is held annually to raise money for temple upkeep. This year the urgent priorities are renovations to the main sermon hall and the creation of a green area on the temple grounds.

The fair featured various booths selling goods at reasonable prices, such as clothes, food and drinks.
There also were a number of carnival rides, including a carousel, Ferris wheel, dunk tank and rides for the kids.
Of course, there also were opportunities for merit making, with funds going toward paying utility bills and to complete work on a large Buddha statue.
