A woman was killed when her motorbike collided with a 10-wheeled truck hauling dirt in Sattahip.
Somwang Nakrua, 61, died at the scene of the May 27 accident at the Soi Wat Kaokanthamart-Nong Yanoi intersection in Sattahip’s Moo 9 village.
Somjit Meesomchart, the 46-year-old driver of the Isuzu heavy truck, said he was driving the truck carrying soil for land reclamation at Wat Kaokantamart Children Development Center.
Somjit Meesomchart has been charged with reckless driving resulting in death after he drove through the intersection without stopping, crushing a woman motorcyclist.
Police said he drove through the intersection without stopping and the motorcyclist ran into the side of his vehicle and was crushed by the back wheels.
He was charged with reckless driving resulting in death.
