A pregnant woman who couldn’t make it to the hospital in time delivered a baby girl on a roadside in South Pattaya.
Thanchanok Sukporn, 27, went into labor March 4 and called her husband, who urged her to go to the hospital. On the way, however, her contractions became too strong and she pulled over in front of a beauty salon on Soi Kophai.
Both mother and infant are fine after rescue workers arrived to help her give birth.
By the time rescue workers arrived, a large crowd had assembled. The medics shooed them away and safely delivered the 3-kilogram girl. Both mother and baby were taken to Banglamung Hospital.
