Two women who allegedly drugged and robbed a series of older foreign tourists in Pattaya were arrested after complaints from their latest three victims.

Netsai Panyakham, 40, and her cousin Manee Panyakham, 40, confessed to a string of assaults at a police press conference Feb. 18. Three Frenchmen who said they were victims pointed to the women who allegedly stole a total 140,000 baht from them.

The women confessed they have been targeting single or pairs of foreign men, usually older, and then inviting them to drink. They would lace beer and fruit with tranquilizers obtained in Rayong and then invite them men up to their rented hotel room where the victims passed out and would be robbed.

Under interrogation, the Tak Province natives confessed to three similar drugging-robberies.
