Pattaya women learned how to make flower garlands and arrangements for the upcoming Songkran festival.
The Pattaya Women’s Development Group hosted the March 13-15 training session, with President Naowarat Khakhay encouraging the 50 women assembled at the Ruan Thai restaurant to advocate that they, their friends and neighbors dress in traditional Thai dress.
Club member Wanna Yuthisri, owner of the Pink Flower shop in Pattaya, led the second day of training, teaching the class the basics of flower arranging.
The course was one of many organized by the Women’s Development Group to give members more options on how to generate personal income. Organizers also pointed out that the flower garlands and arrangements will come in handy during Songkran.
