PATTAYA, Thailand – The rescue team responded to an emergency call about a person being electrocuted and seriously injured at a restaurant in front of Soi 13/3, Pattaya Beach Road.
Upon arrival, authorities found a crowd of locals and tourists gathered around the injured worker, identified as 34-year-old Chatmongkol. He had suffered severe electrical burns on both palms, with heavy bleeding. Emergency responders immediately administered first aid before rushing him to Pattaya Patmakhun Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
According to 39-year-old coworker, Chakrapan, the workers were carrying out renovation work at the restaurant when the incident occurred. While Chatmongkol was working to sew a roll-up door, an electrical wire hanging loose from the ceiling accidentally touched the scaffold. When Chatmongkol tried to pull the wire, he was electrocuted and fell from the scaffold, shocking his coworkers. The team quickly turned off the power and called emergency services to assist the injured man.
The worker is currently receiving treatment, and the authorities are investigating the cause of the electrical mishap.
