A Cambodian construction worker was killed and a compatriot injured when a concrete beam broke and fell on them at a Jomtien Beach building site.
Identified only as Liad, the female construction worker was pronounced dead at the site of a new, unidentified construction site. The other worker, who also went unidentified, was treated at Banglamung Hospital.
Police did not provide any information on how the upper-story beam broke and crashed down on the workers. Pattaya Itthiphol Kunplome was said to be investigating.
