The World Vision Foundation continued its series of neighborhood meetings focused on improving protection for children.
Chalemrat Chaiprasert, the charity’s child-protection director, hosted the Feb. 23 session at the Green Park Resort with about 100 community leaders, volunteers and staffers.
The meeting aimed to let the community participate in sustainable protection of children and youths, to provide knowledge and methods to drive protection, broaden prevention of child exploitation in labor and prostitution, and raise residents’ awareness of the importance of children and family problems.
World Vision’s Pattaya project is run in cooperation with community volunteers.
The training provided knowledge to volunteers and child protection committees regarding the process of children’s rights protection including relevant laws.
