The golfers of Pattaya were stunned recently to hear of the sudden passing of Steve Ellison.
Steve was one of the founding members of The Golf Club bar on Soi LK Metro and was general manager since its earliest days.
Steve was a true gentleman in every sense of the word, as evidenced by the many tributes that have been paid to him since his passing. As has been said, Pattaya golfers rarely agree on many things but in sadness we all share this loss, as indeed does the staff at The Golf Club. Our thoughts and prayers are with his beloved Tek and Ally at this time.
The funeral took place on Sunday, November 4 where more than 200 family, friends and fellow golfers came to pay their respects. Business partner John McHugh spoke some meaningful and heartfelt words about his good friend. The following day, John joined family members and took Steve’s remains out to sea to scatter his ashes to the wind.
On Friday, November 30, The Golf Club will be running a memorial golf tournament at Greenwood – further details will be announced shortly.
Rest in peace dear friend Steve!
