About 1,500 students from Thailand eastern and central regions squared off in Sudoku and crosswords puzzles at the 11th Technical Cyber Dict Crossword Games Championships.
The June 11 regional finals at Pacific Park in Sriracha saw youths compete in word puzzles and number games such as A-Math. The event was sponsored by Cyber Dict Technology Co., the Students Development Activities Bureau, Basic Education Commission Bureau, Ministry of Education, Thailand Crossword Games, A-Math, and the Puzzle and Sudoku Association.

Chonburi Gov. Wichit Chatpaisit, who opened the competition, noted Thai students have done well in previous international puzzle competitions, winning a team world championship prize.
He said puzzle and math games are good for the mental development of youngsters and can be an engaging diversion to keep children away from drugs.
