“The great thing about Regents is that we have so many staff able and willing to offer extra activities that we’ll have almost 100 clubs on offer next term,” says Director of Sport and Activities at Regents International School Pattaya, Roslyn McConnell, who has just announced details of the extra-curricular activities taking place over April, May and June.
“What I love about Regents is that I can walk across campus after school and within a short space pass one group of students testing rockets they have built in a science club, see another building up the courage to try jumps in Skateboarding Club, and watch one of several squads training for a forthcoming sports tournament. Head inside and I find students learning new strategy and board games, playing in the Chamber Orchestra, learning Hindi or doing subject revision… you name it, it’s taking place here. And then there are the ones that I don’t see, because they are off-campus working hard with one of the local charities or learning to sail at the Royal Varuna Yacht Club. It’s just brilliant!”
Regents’ students love their Theatre Sports – on stage in the Globe Theatre.
The majority of activities form part of Regents’ after-school Extended Learning Programme (ELP), are run by our own teaching staff and are completely free-of-charge. Those which are run as part of our Saturday Sports Academy or are offered by external coaches incur small additional charge. In addition to these activities, Regents students (both boarding school and day students) have access to Global Campus – a unique programme of world-wide, online and in-school activities which are only available to the 42 schools which make up Nord Anglia Education.
