The Austrian embassy donated more than a million baht to the Anti-Human Trafficking Center for construction of a new girls’ dormitory.

The embassy’s police liaison attaché’s office on May 1 presented ATCC Director Palisorn Noja with 974,812 baht derived from the closure of a massive watch-smuggling ring.

The donation followed the March 23 gift of 255,000 baht from Consul-General Gerhard Götz and his wife Frosie. The couple also presented Noja with 160 kilograms of rice from the Austrian Interior Ministry.

Noja thanked the Austrians on both occasions, saying the money would be used construction of a girls’ home at the shelter where kids stay in warm home-like environments with guardians.
