On Sunday the 16th of December 2018 children from the Camillian Social Center Rayong were treated to a Christmas shopping trip at Big C Rayong. As always, the annual fun day out for the kids was sponsored by the Canadian Jackalope Open and Jesters Care for Kids.
Thirty one children were given the equivalent of 1000 baht to fulfil their Christmas wish lists within approximately 90 minutes to shop.
Of the 31,000 baht donated: Canadian Jackalope Open gave 8000 baht, Jesters Care for Kids 20,000 baht and 3000 baht came in from others.
We set off on our shopping trip directly after lunch giving plenty of time for picking and choosing over a very wide selection of goods. The Big C Bear was absent this year but two very nice young ladies were on hand giving away snacks and balloons on sticks to keep the young ones entertained while waiting after the checkout.
Woody and Bernie from the Jesters were joined this year by Rob and his son from the Jackalope overseeing the proceedings. All the younger children were helped by our teachers and older children. The trip was rounded off with a rendition of campanology in the form of Jingle Bells & Away in a Manger by the children.
