Chonburi continues planning for January student games

Chonburi officials continued planning for the 31st Thailand City Students Sports Competition in January, bringing in the province’s technology gurus to map out broadcasting and statistics-collection issues.

Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization President Wittaya Kunplome and Deputy Gov. Pornchai Kwansakul presided over the July 25 meeting to plan the January 19-28 “Chol Games.”

Chonburi will be hosting the finals of the competition, which stages qualifying rounds in five regions across the kingdom.

Sports included in this year’s competition include table tennis, volleyball, football, takraw, beach volleyball, futsal, petanque, badminton, Thai chess, Thai checkers, 10 km. run, and track and field. Students are broken into four age groups: 12, 15, 16 and 18 years old.
